湖北省博物馆坐落于武汉东湖之滨,成立于1953年,是八家中央地方共建国家级博物馆之一、国家一级博物馆、国家AAAAA级旅游景区,湖北省博物馆现有藏品24万余件(套),国家一级文物近千件(套),尤以商周青铜器、战国秦汉漆木器、楚秦汉简牍、先秦及明代藩王墓出土的金玉器为特色,体系完整、数量丰富、质量精湛、地域特色鲜明,在国内外享有盛誉。
The Hubei Provincial Museum is located on the shores of East Lake in Wuhan. Established in 1953, it is one of the eight national museums jointly built by the central and local governments, a national-level museum, and a national 5A-level tourist attraction. The museum's collection comprises over 240,000 items, with nearly a thousand pieces classified as national-level cultural relics. It is particularly renowned for its extensive and high-quality collections, with notable features such as Shang and Zhou bronze artifacts, lacquerware from the Warring States to the Han Dynasty, Chu and Qin bamboo and wooden slips, and gold and jade artifacts unearthed from the tombs of feudal lords in pre-Qin and Ming periods. The museum enjoys a high reputation both domestically and internationally.
